【摘要】:4.1Thecellulosetriacetate(CTA)dosimetrysystemprovidesameansformeasuringabsorbeddoseinmaterials(2-15).Thedosimeterisafilmcontainingcellulosetriacetateandplasticizer.Thedosimetryisbasedonchemicalreactionsinthefilmresultinginchangesintheopticalabsorptionpropertiesinnearultravioletregion.Theabsorbanceismeasuredataspecificwavelengthusingaspectrophotometerorequivalentphotometricinstruments.4.2Absorbeddoseisevaluatedbyuseofacalibrationcurveorresponsefunctiontraceabletonationallyorinternationallyrecognizedstandards.4.3Absorbeddoseisusuallyspecifiedintermsofabsorbeddosetowater.AbsorbeddosetoothermaterialsmaybeevaluatedbyapplyingtheconversionfactorsdiscussedinISO/ASTMGuide51261.NOTE2-Foracomprehensivediscussionofvariousdosimetrymethodsapplicabletotheradiationtypesandenergiesdiscussedinthispractice,seeICRUReports14,17,34,35,and37.4.4Thisdosimetrysystemmaybeusedinindustrialradiationprocessingofvariousproducts,forexampleradiationeffecttests,polymermodifications,andsterilizationofmedicaldevices.4.5Aone-dimensionalabsorbed-dosemappingonorwithinaproductmaybeobtainedbyirradiatingadosimeterstripofappropriatelength.4.6Theabsorbed-doserangeindicatedin1.2.1maybeachievedbyusingtriphenylphosphate(TPP)asthesoleplasticizerinthedosimeter.4.7Theeffectonthedosimeterresponseduetochangesintheirradiationconditions,suchasabsorbed-doserate,temperature,humidity,andatmosphereshouldbeconsideredwhenthesearedifferentfromthecalibrationconditions.4.7.1Thedosimeterhasdifferentresponsestoelectronbeamsatrelativelyhighdoseratesthantogammaradiationatrelativelylowdoserates(seeFig.1).Calibrationshouldbecarriedoutseparatelyforeachtypeofradiation.4.7.2Thedosimeterresponseincreaseslinearlywithtemperaturefrom-10to60癈at7kGy/h,andfrom-10to40癈at1.2kGy/h(7),andwithrelativehumidity(upto80%)duringirradiationwhenirradiatedatlowerdoserates(100kGy/h).Alltheseeffectsneedtobeconsideredbeforethedosimetercanbeusedroutinelyforprocessing(4,7,12,15).Forhigh-dose-ratedosimetry(forexample,electronbeams)theinfluenceofhumidityondosimeterresponseisnotappreciable(4,7).Forotherconditionsitisrecommendedtocalibratethedosimetrysystembythefinaluserunderspecificenvironmentalconditions.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforusingthecellulosetriacetate(CTA)dosimetrysystemformeasuringabsorbeddoseanddoseprofileinmaterialsirradiatedbyelectronsandphotonsintermsofabsorbeddosetowater.TheCTAdosimeterisaroutinedosimeterespeciallyusefulformeasurementofdosedistribution.Note1Cellulosetriacetatedosimeterreferstountintedfilmdosimeter.1.2Thispracticeappliesprovidedthefollowingconditionsaresatisfied.1.2.1Theabsorbed-doserangeis10kGyto300kGyforelectronsandphotons.1.2.2Theabsorbed-doseraterangeis3Gy/sto41010Gy/s().1.2.3Theradiation-energyrangeforelectronsis0.2to50MeV.1.2.4Theradiation-energyrangeforphotonsis0.1to50MeV.1.2.5Theirradiation-temperaturerangeofthedosimeteris-10to70C.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
