【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationisintendedtoprescribeminimumsafetyrequirementsforcandlestoprovideareasonabledegreeofsafetyfornormalusewithcandles,therebyimprovingpersonalsafetyandreducingfires,deaths,andinjuries.1.2Thisspecificationisnotintendedtoreplaceotherimportantsafetypracticesthatshouldbeinplace,suchasadultsupervision,closemonitoring,firedetection,alarmorsuppressionsystems,anduseofcandlesawayfromcombustiblematerials.1.3Flame-producingdevices,suchascandles,presentapotentialhazardtotheuser.Thisspecificationcannoteliminateallhazards,butwillminimizethepotentialhazardsofcandlestotheuser.1.4Thisspecificationisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.5ThisspecificationstatesvaluesinSIunitswhicharetoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesisareforinformationonly.1.6Thisspecificationdoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
